An excerpt from one of my friends

"you know, i used to think that people who identified themselves as christians went to heaven and those who didn't went to hell.
i don't think that anymore. it seems like jesus was saying something ver, very different from that. i am coming to love jesus more and more."

God is good, and god is the beginning and the end. no matter how bad things may ever seem, the greatest power in existence is nonetheless good. the spirit of contentment and peace is available to us at any time at all, in any cirumstance. next time things go wrong rather than grumbling, and feeling sorry for ourselves, let's say "oh God even though this is painful thank you for this experience! look how strange and hard it can be to be human! thank you that i am alive and that i can feel and please let me learn what it is to be learned from this." as my mom's teacher used to say, when you get a plate full of rice, say "all praise be to God." when you get a plate with no rice, say "all praise to God."

i think that in all situations God let's our free will, that he so wonderfully gave to us, come into play. we can either make the best of situations, or the absolute worst. God doesn't call us to point fingers, or to place blame, or to look for scapegoats for any situation, but rather He calls us to live a Christ-like life, and to glorify Him in all we do. though it may be easy to get angry at others, who are placed above us, to lead us in a Christ-like way, they are only human also, and they have their shortcomings, and their problems, and they will never be Christ. we should be thankful that they're around to offer the support that they do, but we should never place blame when they fall short.

i don't think this is an instance to turn your back on God, but rather to learn, and to grow, as He wants us to do in all situations.
